In its press release issued on Nov 10, 2016, the national federation of Amazigh Associations in Morocco (FNAA) had sent a letter ? one copy of which is received by Amazighworld website - to the new US President Donald Trump to congratulate him on his democratic election as head of the US Executive. The Federation also reminded the US President to keep its commitments in the fight against terrorism. The statement said: "during your electoral campaign you promised the American people and through it to the different peoples of the world to eradicate the roots of this radical and murderous Islamic ideology”. The full press release follows:

Congratulatory letter to the new President of the United States of America
Mr. Donald Trump,
You have just won democratically the American presidential elections. Your election as head of the US executive has created a shockwave that shook the entire world, for the simple reason that you are out of the usual framework called "politically correct".???????????
As for the majority of the American people who voted for you, it is because they are tired of the past various politically correct promises that did not bring anything in security terms.
On this occasion, we the National Federation of Amazigh associations in Morocco (FNAA) and its 87 member associations across the country are pleased to present our congratulations to you and to the American people.
The FNAA Federation, like all other Amazigh NGOs all over North Africa, have been working for decades with their own modest means for the most basic rights. The cultural, linguistic and identity rights of the oldest Mediterranean people: the Amazigh people, who are ignored and constantly flouted in Morocco and all over North Africa.
Mister President,
Allow us, at this moment, to remind you that during your electoral campaign you promised the American people and through it to the different peoples of the world to eradicate the roots of this radical and murderous Islamic ideology. Several heads of state failed in this project because their "politically correct" ended up preventing them from heading this salutary action head on. We believe, like the American people who elected you, in your desire to put an end to this terrorism that is plaguing the world and threatening democracy and freedom.
Mister President,
The hopes of many peoples all over the world rest on the integrity of your decisions. On this, we wish you success in your term for peace, security and prosperity.
We sincerely welcome you, Mr. President.
